Meet Tamu

Lively dinners with friends have always been my thing, whether it’s a night out on the town or an intimate dinner at home with friends, I have always been devoted to creating memorable experiences for my guests and clients regardless of the size of the party. Being an avid home chef and always thinking of ways to challenge the palates of my friends and clients, I discovered a love for crafting cocktails and creating recipes.

The result became Liberate Your Palate, a company that provides experiential culinary and beverage events, such as hands-on cocktail classes, cocktail catering services , and curated cocktail tours in Charlotte and Charleston, SC.

Liberate Your Palate conducts regular cocktail classes designed to take the Mystery out of Mixology, for the at-home enthusiast. I’m not in the business of training bartenders, but I do want to help people have fun crafting amazing cocktails that will impress their friends and family at home.

Soon, we will be expanding by adding an online store where you can purchase the necessary bar tools to replicate the same exceptional cocktails at home that we make in our classes.

I also produce photo and video shoots for various global brands, plus create cocktail recipes, and social content for clients. I love to work with liquor & wine companies to make their brand’s shine whether through cocktail development, styling, photos, or events! Recent clients have included Pinnacle Vodka and Neptune Rum.

When I’m not working you can find me exploring new cocktail trends and techniques, both locally and globally, in the kitchen, taking Instagram photos of my kitty, Lola Falana or someplace with a cocktail in my hand laughing way too hard with friends.
